Angel of AshBlack as ash
his breath silent
sweetest slumber
my dearest child

hellish howls
metal casings fly
black feathers
unfurl in the sky

angel from below
ashen face sighs
his siblings cry
as if they know

he comes
to save them
from death
while others died

his hair caked
a hero formed from
the flames
kissing his face

the children clutch
onto him tight
a man shouts
to save his wife

angel of ash
moves to fight
raising a weapon
into the night

the creature
who killed innocent
died at the hands
of a blackened angel

a shadow
of purity
for what is heavenly
comes in many shapes.

I feed him lies, I feed him broken hearts
And not one day his wings remain untrimmed.
Chimeric limbs on human body crammed
Inside walls of pentameter concrete;
In five by ten crisscrossed iambic bars
I locked the skin from former reptile lives
Expecting you'd adore my virtuous hide.
Alone I sit tonight while reading through
These lines you wish to free the prisoner.

Never Really AloneTake me on an adventure, I'm ready for the ride, though life may seem normal I can make it out to be more than what turns in the tides. I know not the future. I know not the past. But if there's one thing that I know for sure is that this love will last. No matter thick and thin, no matter how weak the bond, every single day I've thought of you and I've hung on. I've had visions, I've had dreams and I can feel it in my bones, the lonely nights I've been crying now I know that I was never really alone.

Another year lost

Another year passes,
Another day fades away,
Another chance lost,
As my body starts to decay.

Another heart to be broken,
Another tear to be cried,
Another friendship to end,
As my life is swept aside.

Another mistake to be made,
Another lie to be told,
Another bond to be broken,
As I begin to fold.

I remember this day,
As a symbol of my life,
Another broken man,
Who has no strengh left to fight.
